A day of action to honor and mourn the lives lost to police brutality and institutional racism.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to support each of you and do not take our ability to do so for granted.  But right now our support is needed for a bigger cause.

Pursuit Concierge is proud to announce that we will be participating in the statewide strike this Friday, June 12th organized by Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County.  If you are unfamiliar with this call to action, we encourage you to learn more about it here.  As they share in their announcement of the strike and silent march,

If we truly want to create something that we’ve never had before, then we need to be willing to do things that we’ve never done before. A statewide day of action for black lives will send a powerful message to all government officials that Washingtonians no longer tolerate the racism that is built into so many of our institutions.

This means that we will be closed for business and unavailable for requests Friday, June 12th. We do not make the decision to close our doors lightly, but we do it confidently.

There are many ways to help amplify the voices of the oppressed and participating in this strike is just one of them. We will be using this time to educate ourselves more deeply on ways to be better advocates for equality. We feel a moral obligation to take a stand and actively participate in the solution. We are hopeful that change is on the horizon if we can unite in our intolerance of intolerance.

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” –  Barack Obama

Wholeheartedly,
Sondra and Caitlin
